Tuition and other charges

學費*

First and second year Tuition: $69,000 per year (Average tuition per credit: $2,300)
Third and fourth year Tuition: $74,000 per year (Average tuition per credit: $2,467)

Other fees

The graduation fee of 400 is payable with the first instalment of tuition fee。.

* Our Undergraduate programmes are included in the Non-Means Tested Financial Assistance Scheme for Students of Hong Kong Self-financing Undergraduate Degree Programmes。For 2020/21, eligible students will receive up to hk $32,100 per year。
The comprehensive fees listed above are for reference only。The annual tuition fees payable by students depend on the number of credits in the courses taken。Students are generally required to take 30 credits per academic year。

資助

Our undergraduate programmes have been included in the Hong Kong Non-means tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate programmes. Eligible students will receive a subsidy of HK $32,100 for the 2020/21 academic year。

In addition, students enrolled in our bachelor's programmes may apply for financial Assistance Scheme for Post-Secondary Students (FASP) or Non-Means Tested Loan Scheme for Post-Secondary Students (NLSPS)。

Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-Secondary Students (FASP)

Financial assistance schemes subject to family means and assets tests。Applicants are required to study locally accredited full-time self-financing associate degree, Higher Diploma or post-secondary degree level courses。The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to eligible students to ensure that they are not denied the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education due to financial difficulties。

Non-means tested Loan Scheme for Post-Secondary Students(NLSPS)

The NON-means Tested Loan Scheme for POST-Secondary Students (NLS) is designed to complement the FINANCIAL Assistance Scheme for Post-Secondary Students (FINSA) by providing loans to assist students in paying tuition fees for full-time, locally accredited post-secondary programmes at associate degree, higher diploma or bachelor's degree level, which are self-funded。

Fees for Associate degree/Higher Diploma courses

HK$1,600 x 63 credits per credit (credits required for completion of the course)

Associate in Social Science (Social Work)

HK$2,600 per credit x 38 social work course credits +
HK$1,600 x 21 general studies credits +
HK$2,500 per credit x 15 internship credits
= HK$169,900

Tuition and other charges

學費

All students are required to complete 11 subjects of 3 credits each in one academic year and two semesters (maximum 2 years)。The full course costs HK $38,500。

Other fees

The graduation fee of $400 is payable with the payment of the first instalment of tuition fees。

資助

Successful students can apply for the extended non-means tested Loan scheme from the Working Families and Student Financial Assistance Agency to help them pay tuition fees。For enquiries, please call 2150 6223 or browse Student Financial Assistance Agency The web page。

Students studying for the Diploma in Foundation Education can apply for tuition fee subsidy through the following channels:

  1. If you have financial difficulties and cannot settle the tuition by the payment deadline, you may submit an application for deferral of tuition payment AT LEAST 5 WORKING DAYS before the payment deadline. Late applications will only be considered under exceptional circumstances, and may lead to a penalty charge.

  2. Students who apply for deferral of tuition payment should submit the application form in person to the following office:

    Kowloon Tong Campus

  3. Approval for deferral of tuition will be granted on the basis of genuine financial need. Please make sure you submit all relevant supporting documents (e.g. copies of Certificate of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance, income statements, bank account statements etc.) together with the application form. Applications without adequate supporting documents will NOT be processed. You may be invited to attend an interview if necessary.

  4. All students are expected to plan well for their study and finance, hence reasons such as awaiting the maturity of time deposit, release of salary, Penalty of loan from others or the sponsorships of employer, mortgage repayment, poor finance management and the like will NOT be considered.

  5. Deferral will be granted for tuition only.

  6. You will be notified of the result by e-mail within 2 weeks after the submission of applications.

  7. New students who successfully applied for deferment of tuition payment are still required to pay 10% of the annual tuition fee plus $400 graduation fee to indicate your acceptance of the offer.
